This was a great Airbnb experience. The cottage was perfect for a weekend trip to Napa. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Very cozy and well kept. Close to downtown Napa. Tom and Judy make you feel at home and are quick to respond to any questions or needs that we had. Also, did a great job on checking in prior to arrival about anything they could help with.

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying in Arto & Cheryl’s guest house. It was a beautiful wine country setting. The suite was very tastefully appointed, comfortable and immaculate. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Matt (July 2015)
This suite was perfect. My wife and I spent two nights here on our honeymoon. Arto and Cheryl were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Arto even gave us a map and gave us great suggestions for ‘must-sees’ when we told him we were heading to San Francisco next. The surrounding areas are picturesque and quiet, and you can’t beat the view of the vineyard and the surrounding landscape. The suite was very clean and welcoming, and they left us breakfast items and a bottle of wine! We would definitely come back.

Zam was very welcoming. She made us breakfast in the morning without us asking and it was wonderful. She also allowed us to print tickets from her computer. It was a great place to stay for the night, definitely stay again if in Napa. She also gave us extra blankets since I freeze.
Gal (Sept 2015)
This Airbnb should be used as a model for all hosts – it’s super-clean, decorated with really good taste and has all the amenities you can think of. Zam even made us breakfast and it was terrific! The shower is wonderful. This should be your go-to Airbnb in Napa.

The Main Street Farmhouse has to be one of the cutest places to stay in downtown Napa. Tom & Judy have decorated this authentic farmhouse with antiques, yet still included modern touches like a thoroughly updated bathroom and super comfy bed. You’ll find local BBQ or coffee a short walk away, with plenty of other options within a few minutes drive. Tom & Judy are incredibly nice and were very helpful with information about local restaurants and (of course) wineries in the Napa Valley. The breakfast offerings, including pastries, yogurt and granola, is icing on the cake. I’d definitely consider staying here the next time I’m in Napa!

Absolutely terrific experience! Lupe was very flexible with us even though we arrived a few hours later than expected. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine, candy and a beautiful room waiting for us. The castle is minutes from downtown Napa and there are numerous groceries/restaurants only a few minutes away as well. We were also able to watch the hot air balloons from the balcony on our last morning, really a sight to behold. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
This place is looks aaaaaamaaazing and is calling the inner child me!
We have a cozy fun treehouse with amazing views and a deck for having coffee in the mornings. If you want to feel like a child again with that spirit of adventure this is the place for it.

Do have a designated driver – unless you spit (see above). Driving drunk is fucking stupid and easily deadly. Don’t underestimate how drunk you can get on tasting wine. 5 one-ounce pours – a typical flight – is a full glass of wine. For an average person, 15 minutes later you will be legally drunk. If you’re planning on hitting several wineries and taste more wine, learn to spit, or have a buddy drive you around. Buy them dinner and/or a bottle of wine as a thank-you at the end of the day.

UPDATED 2018 – Summer, Spring or Winter, what is the best time to visit Napa Valley for wine lovers or 1st time visitors to Napa Valley? Read on as we explain based on following three factors, if spring (March/April) OR can fall (September/October) be the best time to visit Napa Valley?
Summer can be too hot, Winter can be too cold. Wanna know why Spring especially the months of March & April are the best time to visit Napa Valley? Well, rains are just starting to clear out and the mustards are in full bloom. One other big plus is that the crowds haven’t arrived yet either therefore Napa Valley hotel rates are not sky high yet. Be sure to bring your cameras b/c you will be taking plenty of great photos of Napa Valley Mustard. Here is a more detailed article on FAQ:
Again during Summer and holidays the hotel rates in Napa Valley can sky rocket. Sometimes the rates in Napa Valley are even more expensive then hotel rates in San Francisco this is if you are lucky to get a reservation especially during the weekends. Holidays are another time of the year when rates spike. During the rainy season (Dec, Jan, Feb) the hotel rates are lower but there are rains. March/April is that sweet spot when you can get really good deals on hotel rates because the tourists haven’t really started to flock in yet. Napa Valley Wineries, hotels, spas, tour companies etc are also more likely to offer discounts during this time of year, many of the discounts for Napa Valley can be found at following sites:
Free iPhone App:
Free Android App:
Wine Tasting Card:
Summers and holidays in Napa Valley can be incredibly busy, tons of tourists flocking every winery they can get into. Hotels get booked, tour companies get full, hot air balloon rides get sold out etc. Therefore again Spring (March/April) is the best time to visit Napa Valley because the crowds/tourists haven’t really started to come in yet. You will not see…. READ MORE ON QUORA
Can Fall also be the best time to visit Napa Valley?
Yes, if you are really into wine and want to learn everything about it and see wineries fully working then early fall months (September & October) is absolutely the best time to visit Napa Valley. We say this because wine harvesting happens around this time of the year in Napa Valley. You can see workers picking grapes, trucks carrying them into wineries, crushers crushing the grapes. During fall months the entire valley smells like wine. You can even book Grape Stomping at some wineries so you can personally experience what does it feel like to stomp grapes with your own feet. Yes, the prices will be high during during fall, but the summer crowds are gone by now and the weather tends not to be as HOT as summer months.
Are you planning to visit Wine Country and wondering what is the Napa Valley weather each season, each month? READ ON as we help you decide WHAT TO WEAR and what is the best time to visit Napa Valley. We live update Napa Valley weather daily, hourly, monthly & each season.
According to SmarterTravel.com – Throughout the year, the Napa Valley is one of California’s most beautiful destinations. In spring, the hills surrounding the valley are still lush from the winter rains and the mustard flowers are in full bloom; while in summer, the grape vines are green and sprawling. Around harvest-time in the fall, the leaves on the vines offer spectacular shows of color. In winter, the vines are bare, though the green grass returns and the wine tastings continue. Spring, summer, and fall draw crowds, while winter is a quieter visitor READ MORE on SmarterTravel.com
According to AboutTravel.com – Forget that artificial “first day of spring” that shows up on your calendar in March. Wine Country spring starts in February and it lasts through early May.
On the average, daytime high temperatures during February & March can be in the 60s and 70s °F and lows from the mid-40s to mid-50s.
So, what to wear for Napa Valley weather in February, March, April & May? Well, Napa Valley weather can be variable this time of year. During February & March it tends to be a bit chilly during mornings & nights in Napa Valley, therefore wear layered clothing. During the day, it can warm up but does not get too hot. In April & May, weather in Napa Valley starts heating up, even nights and mornings get warmer therefore you can wear pretty light clothing during these two month. In a wet year, you might get rained on in February (sometimes even early March). February is Napa’s wettest month. Chances of rain taper off as the year goes on, but March is still on the higher side of precipitation – on average. Dont let that worry you, though: most tasting experiences are indoors. Wineries also adjust their walking vineyard tours according to weather. Bring an umbrella & rain jacket/rain boots and you will be just fine even during the rainy season in Napa Valley. A clear spring day is a great time to enjoy the view from wineries.
Mustard plants growing between the grapevines starts blooming in spring. It’s a spectacular sight, with yellow carpets of blooms everywhere. other years, it’s more like a dusting of yellow.
Be sure to check the short-range forecast before you go. You never know when an unseasonable hot spell, cold snap or .. READ MORE on AboutTravel.com
According to Destination360.com – For many people, summer is the best time to visit because Napa Valley weather is just perfect during May, June, July & August. It’s also the busiest of the Napa seasons for tourism. Hot weather from June through August makes relaxing on a patio with a glass of wine divine, and the valley fills with out-of-towners and local visitors, especially on weekends. Napa Valley weather in May, June, July & August is generally very hot and dry, with blue and sunny skies. So, what should you wear for the Napa Valley weather in May, June, July & August? Well, very light clothing such as t-shirts and shorts or just a shirt and pant will be enough without a need for any jacket or sweater. Keep plenty of ice cold water with you to stay cool because the heat and wine can dehydrate you very quickly. If you purchase any wines then be sure not to keep the bottles in the hot trunk of your car for too many hours because the wine will spoil in high temperature. From mid-May through mid-October, rain is rare. Summer daytime temperatures are generally in the 90s, though overnight temperatures cool to the mid-50s to mid-… READ MORE on Destination360.com
According to NapaValeyHotelandSuites.com – Fall is a magical time of year when the weather turns a little cooler, the leaves paper the trees with their jeweled, colored decadence and the sky darkens a little earlier. Some areas of the country experience cooler and almost cold conditions, making it difficult to sit in nature and truly experience the Indian summer. Other areas, in the southern regions continue to feel the heat and humidity of summertime, giving residents and visitors the ongoing feeling of… READ MORE on NapaValeyHotelandSuites.com
